Jason Friedberg & Aaron Seltzer are Slowly Getting Better!!! (by Pumpkin_Man) |
Personally, I've always been a fan of their weird crazy silly spoof movies. Epic Movie and Vampires Suck are my favorites After the trainwreck that was 'Disaster Movie' it feels like they stick with spoofing one main franchise at a time now rather that spoofing multiple movies and characters into one. This time, they are spoofing The Fast & the Furious franchise. The franchise has gone from sexy street racing to pulling off heists like Ocean's Eleven. Superfast did a great job at spoofing this long drawn out series. Making fun of the clichés like having a black guy, an <more> |
LISTEN TO THE SCORE (by nogodnomasters) |
This film is a spoof of "Fast and Furious" done in "Airplane" fashion. Dale Pavinski plays the bald headed Vin Serento aka Vin Diesel. He is abused by his GPS navigator who compares his head to the male organ. His sister is named Jordana Lili Mirojnick for Jordana Brewster. The main character is White Alex Ashbaugh who goes from undercover cop to criminal. They want to rob Juan Carlos de la Sol Omar Chaparro who keeps his money at a fast food taco place. They are pursued by detective Rock Johnson Dio Johnson whose running gag is to oil his muscles and he is a <more> |
Hilarious - Rio Johnson stole the show with his version of the Rock Johnson! (by wyattlpitt) |
So a few of us guys decided to start a D-Movie night. We look for the lowest ratings on Netflix and pick the movies with the worst. This movie had a 1.5 stars and looked like a horrible movie...After the first twenty minutes, it's clear that it is a big spoof on the Fast and the Furious movies. Heck, the guy who plays the parody version of Vin Diesels character's character name is Vin. Of course that isn't the best part but it is small things in parody movies that make them hilarious. The subtle ability to write a hidden joke inside of the joke they're telling is genius. Even <more> |
Made my night (by Freedom_of_Sin) |
Superfast is not trying to be funny — the movie world is set up in a manner that anything can happen. I've seen my share of waste-of-budget comedies, but Superfast is a damn good comedy. Anybody who has played GTA will surely appreciate the humor. Superfast reminds me of "Don't Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Your Juice In The Hood." And it made me wonder whether Wayans brothers were behind this one. I personally really liked this movie, and I'm not a Fast and Furious fan, but the few I've watched, Superfast mocked the series well. With so much crap <more> |
People Lighten Up!!!!!! (by paul_6968) |
Say what you want about the movie, I loved it. It's good fun at the expense of a franchise so full of itself that not one spoof of it existed before Superfast. Silly ..yes...over the top yes....racy yes...who the hell cares? Loved it and would gladly follow a franchise of 7 Superfast movies. Well done by all the actors. |
good laugh (by os-66-302413) |
For thous who love good movies to think about it. It's deep parody for true and what misses a lot of cheep movies for fancies people. Made me big laugh about culture, about me, about how is it in true life. Finally real force to smash faces in mud of truth and laugh about it. Watched in Russian translation. Great job translators! Recommend for everybody who don't know about movies anything or who watched a lot of them. Liked how actors take seriously acting. Seemed very easy and as would they truly believed in truth which they showed on screen. More movies like that. Sometimes changed <more> |
A guilty pleasure (by ginocox-206-336968) |
Friedberg and Seltzer have carved a niche writing and directing guilty pleasures – parodies of films and genres that audiences seem to enjoy and that earn money, but which attract scathing reviews by self-important critics who consider themselves guardians of public cinematic tastes and standards. At $20MM, "Superfast!" isn't exactly low-budget, except compared with the $190MM budget for "Furious 7." Much of the humor is low-brow, although perhaps not as low-brow as some of the humor in "Airplane!" It's more polished than typical direct-to-video fare, <more> |
I liked it..... (by saad-rf) |
Every one else say what you will judging by the blogs on it I saw it recently at friend's place and I liked, no.. , loved it actually. I am a big F&F fan and that franchise despite its ridiculousness and ludicrous or ludicrous :D stunts, is a good fun to watch. This one is good in its own way and I liked the little effort the writers made to incorporate parts from 6 movies in to one. casting was good. I am glad the guy didn't look like Paul Walker that much or may be I am blind otherwise haters would have another thing to rant about. Overall, despite some mistakes here and <more> |
